I just got my hands on a Musicman Van Halen body without a neck. Now I'm trying to figure out from who or where I could get a neck for it. Any ideas?

Correction

I was a bit zealous. It is not a Van Halen model. But it is an Axis and I still need to get a neck. Thanks.

Ernie Ball don't sell parts. The only place you're likely to find one is on Ebay, and you'll pay through the nose for it. Some place like Warmoth might make one for you, but that'll cost you more than $350 too, I'd wager... good luck, 'cause you'll need it! ;)

Getting a part like that from Ernie Ball Music Man is like trying to get Britney Spears to sing acapella....will never happen.

Warmoth or eBay, as JimiD mentioned, are going to be your routes of pursuance. Good luck. :)

Anybody got a warped, cracked, or broken Axis neck they'd be willing to sell me on the cheap?

Okay....my question now would be....if my axe has reached it's warranty period and I break the neck on my JP (Good God I hope not!!!... ), then what? Would I have to trash the guitar because I could not get a neck from EBMM? I am just curious because, life is full of mishaps........believe me, I know.....OLP and airport anyone??!?!?! :(

Ernie Ball will only replace a broken neck on a guitar conditionally - and the condition is that you send them the entire guitar, and they keep the broken neck when they return it. Finding an Axis neck on the cheap is NOT going to happen - at least not easily... trust me on this, I've been looking for one for almost 2 years!! and I've only seen two on Ebay in all that time... and both sold for over $300... :(

Jimi and Darrell are right. The only way we sell a neck would be as a direct replacement, and we would need to get the old neck back. Them's the rules
