I want to tune my 7-string guitar to G Standard (G-C-F-A#-D#-G-C). For the first six strings, I plan to use Ernie Ball "Not Even Slinky" strings (12-16-24-32-44-56). However, I’m unsure which gauge to choose for the 7th string. I’m considering either a 0.74 or 0.80 gauge. What do you think? The neck scale is 25.5 inches.
