Ok first off I play a 4 string stingray and I just recently purchased a new ampeg rig too. SVT410H Cab and SVT350 Head

Im not good at EQing at all yet being this is my first real amp and I was wondering if anybody could help me out a little.

I want it to sound powerful and boomy but still be heard alongside the guitars in my band. But I dont want it to sound too clicky or twangy.

So i want a powerful sound that is clear and wont twang.

I dunno if this will help but my bands mp3s are at www.myspace.com/thesearethedays

Start with the EQ on your head flat, and experiment with the tone controls on the Stingray until you find the sound that you like.

Have a look at the guitarists/vocalists EQ settings, then maybe aim for somewhere in between, at least as far as the highs/mids go. Any low-end stuff should stand out below anything else.

I.e if the guitarists EQ could be viewed across the spectrum as a 'smile', set yours to a 'frown'
