New Silo/ DOB please

Just got a used silo HSS/mapleneck/ in trans green, 24 fret, hardtail. #96139

is this an old silo, any info on what the pups might be, i dont think it has any silent circuit because the hum is crazy on the singles when used with high gain, but it looks amazing and plays great. I'm lazy to take pics at this point, unless those are a must for you guys to help me out.

If you title a post "DOB please", and again give the serial number, one of the EBMM gang will likely tell you the date of birth, after they open on Monday.

The stock humbuckers are DiMarizio PAF PROS, and the single coil is a custom wound DiMarzio. This goes for older and new models alike.

Actually that last part is incorrect. Yes in this particular piece (Transparent Teal not green...), there is a PAF Pro...and yes they loaded them with stock, but in '04-ish they changed to the DiMarzio Virtual PAF in the neck and bridge slots on the 24 fret silo's...and the Silo Specs always had a custom wound PAF-like job...so yeah they used the PAF Pro but not anymore, even tho' the website still advises that they are PAF Pros...and the singles are some custom wound deal that DiMarzio supplies them with...

Is there a battery box in it? No. Then there's no Silent Circuit. That appears on the 22 fret Silo Spec, not the 24s...

Guess you lost your Mesa endorsement since you first posted this eh?

It's so obvious that you can't take a joke...not to mention you era'd that bit from your signature. Haven't you had enough of getting lashed on forums by people lately...let's not carry the flame war over here.

Dude I could care less what your deal is with whom to be honest. I joked, you took it personally...and then you had to push it, so I referenced some stuff i've read recently. You've accrued quite the attitude of late there champ.

hmh, I thought they retained them on the Silos and went to the Virtual PAF on the Silo Specials.

We need fart jokes, pronto!

@candid: I'm confused about it too. I do love the way my PAF pros sound though...

Nope. ;)

I've got 2 relatively new ones (an '04 and an '06) and they're factory Virtual PAF equipped. They sound much much better than the PAF Pros...at least to my ears
