Hello,

I just purchased a new stingray and did not receive any "paperwork', manual, warranty card etc. from the store where I purchased it. Can this be sent to me? Also, was curious as to what kind of wood my bass is made of. the website says " select tonewoods", mine is a vintage sunburst. One last thing, can I get the date that it was made? the serial number is E52798. This is my first Non-fender bass after playing fenders for 25 years. I love this bass!:) Thanks.

You can register your bass here:

http://www.ernieball.com/mmonline/registration/

Not much else comes with them. A key for the case, a polishing cloth, registration card and a diagram for changing out the battery. As mentioned before, contact customer service and see if they can help out. Either that, or go back to the store you bought it from and demand your case goodies.

Just got my first MusicMan a little less than a month ago, same thing, nothing inside case but the key. I don't know if they use different wood for the finishes that show off the grain of the wood like you have as opposed to a solid finish like mine.

my case didnt come with a key... i feel that I can never be cheerful again....

I have never used a case key in my life. I mean, if somebody wants what's in your case they will just pick it up and walk away with it. How hard would it be for them to get what's inside? Cheer up man, it's ok, really:) :) :)

Boy, do I know the feeling...try posting your questions here on the Serial number database thread:

and Dan will likely get back to you within a few days at most with the answers...

I am a recent newcomer here and he hooked me up pretty quick! Welcome to the club...

I have never used the keys either, if they want it they're gonna steal the whole thing and not bother opening it first.

But I'm sure Ernie Ball cases all use the same key...I have a box with a bunch of case keys and they're all the same key #.

Vintageburst is a great color. a classic

I was looking on Musiciansfriend and other sites, and I don't see that the vintageburst is available anymore, or maybe they just don't sell it. does this color generally cost more? I thought it looked like ash, but wasn't sure. thanks for the info.

You bass is made out of ash.

Are the bodies made of solid wood, (all one piece), or are they layered like laminate? I noticed that the grain on the front is different than the grain on the back. I would be really disappointed if it were laminated like a skateboard... the top looks like ash, but the grain on the back is more like alder...could the top be a veneer?

Vintage sunburst is an upcharge -- I believe an extra $100.00 or so. Your bass is not laminated like a skateboard.

cool, thanks for the info. I realized that because it is flat sawn, the grain will be different on each side. It is beautiful, and I am thinking too much. I will shut up, and enjoy my new bass now...thanks.

Nah, I wouldn't use the key even if I had it... i sure don't need another key on my key ring

DOB = 6-29-06. The body is ash and most likely a two piece body. VSB is always one of the best selling colors.
