I send you these two poems plus some anointing healing fire,
Chin up buddy,
Louis
Hopeful for Presence.
And the spire, though crooked, still points up.
To hope, where we still raise the cup.
No matter how the veg is sliced or not
All bob and turn alike in life’s stewpot.
The hamster runs his wheel, he’ll never learn
To pause and set aside this futile chase
You have to turn.
All art is useless, like the loafer’s tassels
Mere ornaments to leaven this life’s hassles
A hundred useless things are still required
To fill day‘s hours
Ignored by some, while others are inspired.
Was light seen just the distant waving of a torch?
Or lights from home and hearth and porch?
Can you be present in the dark, silent and still
Yet some presence felt?
Or do my wishes alone the vacuum fill?
And the spire, though crooked, still points up
To you and hope, where I still raise the cup.
I am He.
I am He who finds and leads
the lost lamb,
bleating as evening comes and the
chill winds rise.
I am He who shelters and secures
birds and beasts,
in the wood where smiting rain
and thunder cracks.
I am He who listens and provides
the way,
a home for the scarred and badly treated,
the road away from more of the same.
I am He who fills with love and light,
with partners, friends and children;
brothers and sisters alive in their gathering,
of a crisp awareness in living.
I am He who silently passes
placing an arm in comfort,
among the family throng.
The unseen rock that will
be leaned on, in the days
and weeks that after come.
I am He who comes to
just be still and present be,
found most in early morning
and later night.
Accepting all the You and now
and tomorrows,
hey all.... thanks for all the positive thoughts and words. they mean a lot to me!!!
my sister's gonna undergo surgery tomorrow so if you could spare one more day's good vibes it'll be greatly appreciated. I'll make sure to post an update once I know how everything turns out.
