Good job!! I think this is a very solid effort! I'd say more mids on the guitars, just to bring them out a little more. The vocals sounded fine to me, in fact I would put some lyrics over the instrumental part simply because that part went on for a minute with no vocals. IF you ever record it again, speed it up. It sounds cool as is, but faster would give it a little more energy.
The melody sounds alot like King's X's When You're Scared (which is a cool thing).
The song itself is great. The vocals are good, I love the delays. Overall I felt it lacked a bit of edge on the heavy parts. The chorus guitars lack bottom end chunk, and the vocals were a bit too even over the whole song. More harmonies in the chorus might help it. Otherwise it's very good. I don't think it needs to be sped up, but it needs more chunkiness, something to make you want to bob your head to it, and I think it's on the heavy rhythm guitars tone.
thanks for your response! I'm not that confident with the dirstortion of the guitars either, I think it has to be the poor cab we used when recording. Do you think we'll have to record the guitars again or is there any chance to realize this with compression, eq's,..?
