I think if the dealer was such a stand up guy he would of just posted the serial number himself to put everyone's mind at ease, because I am sure if someone buys it being told it is stock and then finds out different they are going to want a refund, and also the dealer is going to stain his reputation. All of which can easily be avoided by him running the number and finding out in a day exactly what he has. I get the feeling he may of bought it without doing his homework and now may feel if he sells it and no one checks the number he is fine, but if they do and it is a mixed guitar he is going to say he got duped as he never checked the number to save face.

I corresponded with him several times via email. He was very defensive when I asked if the neck had been swapped. He said that he checked with EBMM and that it was the original guitar.Based on my question about the neck, he insinuated that I thought he was dishonest. I talked with EBMM(AJ). AJ wants the serial # so that he can validate it. He (dealer)also told me that the serial # would not be given out until it is sold. I don't like the fact that the guy raised the price by $200.00 once that the influx of emails started. Kind of sleazy, huh?

Trust your instincts.
When a person selling an item is not helpful, it should be a warning sign.

Damn right it is sleazy Oz, and I cant think of any seller that I have ever dealt with that would not of put my mind at ease, or would have been so defensive. A guilty conscience needs no accuser!

Right on Straycat. If the guy would have been forthright, I may have made an offer. Oh well, I'll just have to be content with my new purchase from Headstock. I just purchased his BFR Cherryburst ASS with MM90's. Can't wait to get it.
