I remember reading that basswood was selected for the bongo, because other woods, like ash, where to heavy due to the added electronics.
What wood will be used to built the new 2 PUP SR and Sterling, which are normally made of ash ?

Im assuming they will continue to be made from ash, but thats just what I think. Im not sure if there'd be any need to change the wood.

First of all, I live in Pittsburgh, PA which just happens to have one of the best scholastic programs in the US of A. Second, I'm not good at spelling. Third, I was awake for three days straight and in a sort of oblivious state. Forth, It would be nice if you would be a little more parsimonious in the way you choose to besiege me. Usted cochino fascito.

1. It's obvious that you have gained nothing from the scholastic powerhouse that is Pittsburgh, PA.

2. That's obvious- Your spelling is atrocious.

3. I'd love to know what worth while and meaningful activities you've been involved with that would cause such a state of oblivion.

4. It is hard for me to be parsimonious in my thrashing of you when you seem to beg for it daily.

Just call me Mussolini

Hey guys,

I'm from Pittsburgh, yet I manage to "talk real good".

Now, "forth" as I know it, was a computer programming language in the early days of artificial intelligence. A good friend of mine who worked for Westinghouse built a robot arm to cut glass, and he wrote the code to drive it in "forth".. the hardware interface utilized the four joystick ports on an Atari 800 computer. This is no BS! Another Pittsburgh guy (who designed nuclear subs for a living) invented the "Happy" modification for Atari disk drives, which defeated most copy protection used in those days (CRC errors, etc.).

Another good friend of mine worked for a company who made ADA compilers. (You defense contractors may know a thing or two about that language.)

Anyway, my point is that I'm from Pittsburgh and I know how to spell fourth. But that's just me... ;)

Hell, I'm from deepest, darkest Mississippi.

But I don't say "y'all" and I don't use "ain't" and now that I think about it, I don't even KNOW any songs about rivers.

Nor can I play the banjo...and I dislike watermelon.

So...what's my point.

I forgot.

Oh, wait - there's always hope? It's never too late to have a happy childhood?

I know it was some drivel like that.

Actually SteveB, it's Ada not ADA . Can you guess my profession (and no, I'm not a dentist :D )?

Anybody smoke some Mother Verb lately? Ooh, they keep rolling :D

I'm stopping now, before I hurt myself.

maddog,

I stand corrected. Indeed, it was named after Lady Lovelace and is not an acronym.

If you have ever used Tartan's Ada compiler, my friend may have been your support rep!

What's the point of that cowboy hat then? Don't lie now, I know it's true. I seen it onna innernet.

I think you're repressing you deepest feelings and are in desparate need of therapy. You'll feel better if you learn a song about a river. How about "Ain't No River Long Enough".

What? You never heard "Proud Mary"? Lots of talk about a river in that one, or so I recall. I mostly think of Tina Turner's fanny shaking when I hear that song, though. I have no idea why. ;)
