This comes up quite often, first I don't plan on selling it nor passing it off as a "real" Marshall. It is a Marshall circuit and last I just think it looks "right" with their logo on it.
I did not wire a "virtual variac" Only George's Heyboer transformers have the additional voltage tap. I personally prefer Mercury Magnetics transformers and they do not come stock with the extra taps.

I just thought after all that hard work you go and immediately add what The Doctor would call a 'Perception Filter' by adding a Marshall logo and it blends into the background of obscurity.
Over here we kinda take Marshalls for granted and they aren't really held in any real regard. It's just a "Marshall" for the most part. I suppose mainly because they are just the common amps that we see everywhere here. Nearly ever stock backline in any venue will have Marshalls so they fall off the radar.
However... if I see a Marshall SLP chassis and a Splawn logo on it... I take notice lol

You should really look into MetroAmp if you are thinking about a Ceriatone. Metro may be a few dollars more but IMO it's worth it.

I would say I clocked in about 35 hours. I was really meticulous with this build and I think it paid off.
The only snag I hit was a bad 8 pin tube socket (the tube wouldn't insert fully). Which was a real pain because everything was wired and zip tied off. Luckily I was able to install a new socket without too much trouble. To be honest I was lucky because self oscillations and ground loops can be a real pain to hunt down.
Later down the road I might convert it to a Superbass but for now it's staying stock.
