New Axis Day!! Black Magic Crystal!!

OK...Friday was actually the day...but I finally stopped playing to take a couple of pics today.

Yes...this is the one that was on Ebay last week.

Black Magic Crystal is such a cool color. Kind of hard to photograph though. It looks different in different light...bluish...greyish...black metallic. The chrome knob & pickup covers are a nice touch to make it different from the others.

Here's a pic with flash to bring out the sparkle.

I did my usual mods...rotate the switch to flip up/down instead of left/right...Dunlop straplocks...EVH Dtuna...now she's good to go...ready for the gig next weekend.

The only problem is that its getting harder to decide which ones to bring.

That IS a neat color. First thing that comes to mind when looking at it is roof/shingle cement!

Besides the two I have...I think that is my dream Axis...just a stunning looking guitar! Take some outdoor shots in the sun...that will really show off that beautiful finish.

Bmc is one of those colors you have to hold to appreciate. I love my SLO Stingray.. So does my drummer he's been borrowing it for months.

the brushed nickel pickups look unbelievably classy on that finish. im sure uncovered pickups would have looked good, but EBMM hit it out of the park with the attention to detail on the pickups. so good.
