Great score Tim, i wish EBMM still made the Axis with a hardtail too...tone controls don't have any purpose for me.

Steve i thought you got your second ball...that sport with the MM90s! What happened, did it fall through?

Pick up the Luke in 3 weeks, already planning the next ball

F*ck me, I really am a gear whore...I forgot about that one! :D :D

Trouble is its 4000 miles away and so out of sight, out of mind! DOH!!

Almost jumped on that Luke that DaveB recommended at guitars4you. It sold only a few minutes before my call... you see, this is becoming an onrunnning thing at the moment :(

Sorry spkirby,

I am unfortunately building up a "voodoo style" hatred vibe from you...

After the US trip I will not be buying anything for a long while so you can safely bid on everything in the UK except Mr Horsepower :D

Its been well gigged now, and had a re-fret to prove it! It also sounds much thinner and trebly
Tim has the sound only changed since the refret? I have an EVH that doesn't get gigged anymore because I'm scared the refret will change the sound.

If anything I would say that the sound has changed for the better! I had it re-fretted with slightly larger wire (Stew-mac 149) and had the Charlie Chandler plek job done on it.

Its always sounded thinner than the rest of the EBMM 'fleet' even pre re-fret.

I wouldnt worry about it changing the sound. If done properly there should be no reason it would sound different, unless you use massively different wire or that new fangled stainless steel wire.

Tim, did you get rid of the Glacier Blue sparkle Axis???

By the way, nice vintage looking Axis. :)

Why thank you! I set it up last night, and put new strings on and its a beauty! Cant wait for my gigs this week to give it a blast!

I still have the sparkly Axis! I had the tone pot taken out, and replaced the 5 way with a 3 way, as the coil tap options just sounded poor to my ear. Now my #2 guitar! And people either love or hate the colour! There is no middle ground!
