I finally got the guitar I've been waiting on-the Axis SuperSport. Man, it was great to finally play this thing. They don't move a lot of these at the Guitar Center in Arvada, CO. The front pickup seems to move around a bit more than the other but it sounds and plays great.

Beautiful flame on that top! It baffles me why more Super Sports or any Axis wouldn't be sold rather quickly in a specific area.

I realize it's subjective and everyone has different tastes, but the Axis / A.S.S. is simply one of the best guitars ever!

Congrats on that beauty!

Axis Super Sport

Straycat,

Yeah, both pickups are about the same distance from the strings but the front one is really loose compared to the other one. The sales guy said it was because it was closer to the strings but that is not the case. I thought it might be the spring tension on that one is different? I'm not really sure how that works in there. You can put your index finger on one side and middle finger on the other side and kind of toggle it pretty easy; seems like this should be fixed in there better. In the hard shell case there is an extra set of springs. Have any ideas?

Thanks for all the responses. New guitars are great to play with aren't they?

spring  there is no springs for PUPs adjustment and those guitars

my pickups are screwed on the body directly, so if your neck pickup is swinging maybe you need to tight the screws

Awesome flame top on that one, congrats and welcome to the forums! :)
Is it honeyburst or cherryburst? I'm sometimes having a hard time telling from pics...

Threeminutesboy,

I wonder if they gave me the wrong case? He went into detail about the sping tension on the PUPS and there are 2 spares in the case?

Coffeemug,

The tag says Honeyburst...

I'm lost now  The extra springs (big one?) in the case must be for the trem not Pickup related.

if your neck PUP is kinda moving or sliding you just need to tighten the PUP screws

Congrats! Yes ... as mentioned the p'ups are body mounted. Sounds like you probably need to tighten the screws.

Springs and things

Threeminutesboy,

Yeah, I think you're right. I downloaded the PDF for this thing to getr a better understanding of the pickups. Also, I'm going to call these guys directly today. The guy that sold this to me was good but I don't think everything he told me was correct. I stayed up until 1:00 am playing this thing. It's hard to put it down!
