My new band played our first show last night and my wife took some great pics to capture the beauty of my Luke and my bassist Phil's Stingray. For anyone considering a Luke wondering if it is good for heavier music, we cover everything from AC/DC to Zeppelin to White Zombie and Breaking Benjamin and it sounds brilliant. I received a lot of compliments and questions about it.

Despite my being left handed, sweet Christ does it look goofy seeing someone playing backwards. You should flip the images so that it looks normal. Hahahahaha. That guitar is shiny!

we do Good Times bad Times by Zeppelin and Highway to Hell by AC/DC. They are always great bar songs!

Oh Tim, i was expecting that from the "normies" out there, not one of my own kind. :p

A pre gig buffing and a new set of Slinky's will do that. :D

Bingo!

I am left handed, and love it. Don't get me wrong. I am just the first to point out how goofy we all look while playing this way. I think Jimi is the only one that looks "normal" because he is just so damned cool. I say "is" because his brand of cool never goes out of style... minus the whole overdose- choke-on-vomit aspect of it. I didn't really think this through. Bollocks.

I have on occasion referred to myself as a sloppy bitch, so you're not far off.

Unfortunately, I don't have my Silo Special to photograph yet and my back up is a sch*cter, which I didn't need, and wouldn't post here anyway!

Great shots...and good luck with the new band.

The Lukes sound so good. I sometimes get compliments from ACOUSTIC guitarists about how good the Luke sounds. Although some of it is my amp settings, I'm sure. I could plug a cat licking himself into my amp and sound pretty good.

Line6 FlextoneII on Fender setting (tweaked a bit) and with delay (and chorus sometimes.)

My favorite compliment on the Luke/amp tone came from this local musician who spent years in Kenny Loggins band and composes the music for most of the IMAX movies over the last 25 years. His comments on the sound really made me smile.

I used a Line 6 for years in my last "party-rock/pop" cover band and the versatility on the line 6 is great. Not much "soul" to it, but very effective. Thats was the only thing I kinda disliked, it's basically a computer with 12" Celestions plugged in. But the new Line6 Spider Valve have the Bogner Tubes. I hear it's great!!
