If you think about it, you actually "wear" the bass so it's kind of a fashion statement and EBMM's are indeed beautiful.
And sometimes it just feels so good to "wear" something that looks so beautiful. Playability and sound are more important but it's great that EBMM's provide the full experience. Buying EBMM's is like acquiring fine art.

I'd never buy a bass i thought looked ugly (and yes i would like a bongo ). I took the bass to college today to play on a track for someone else on my course, and i got a lot of "wow, that's a really cool case, what colour is the bass?" i replied with "it's hard to explain, i'll show you instead. It's a limited edition". another guy said "so what makes it different?" and i told him the colour. He repleid with "what, just the colour?". I then opened the case, and they took one look and just said "wow....". Yep, that's what i think every time i look at it

haha no man you're totally right, took it to band practice today, i thought i would have a hard time getting used to it going from a skinny neck, but it feels totally natural, lovely profile and the action is great. Got some really nice sounds out of it too. I think if it had some new strings it could really live up to it's potential. This bass is so much better than my old SUB bass, i know i really shouldn't be, given that the SUB was a cheapy bass, but i'm actually surprised how much better it is, in pretty much all areas!

Oh and i may have a possible recording session at college tomorrow

I am glad you are enjoying the sound of it, at the end of the day that is the most important factor, together with playabilty which on an EBMM can be played around with to the user's content, when it comes to compare it to your SUB, you know, the SUB is a StingRay without the Dinner Suit really, and given it's a single pickup, I bet you anyone blind folded given the pepsi challenge and tell you what's what just by hearing it. Enjoy the Sub and the LE2008, and don't ever sell the Sub cause it's going to be a collector item and least of all don't butcher it with mods.

i never played it, i can't get on with single H and the slab body was really difficult to play around, i don't miss it at all was a nice bass for the cash though

Not at all, as BP so often says, we're moving forwards, not backwards, and i intend to stay firmly in the present!
