Alright, yesterday I said that I may be getting a new bass today. Well, here it is. I traded in 2 Fenders (a MIA and a MIM) for it plus 200 Euro. Well worth it. Personally, I doubt I'll miss the Js, the SR is here to stay. :D

So here's the new bass:

I wanted a maple fretboard, but couldn't afford a new one and the used ones had roosewood boards. Oh well, just means I need another one. :D

I do have one problem though. What pickguard to put on it. I don't like the black on it. I'm not a big sunburst person. Maybe I should photoshop some different guards on it and make a poll. Eh?

Wow, Eric! She's a beaut! I say go with a shell guard, or if you'd like it to stand out some more, white pearloid.

Congratulations!

Oh, and pics of this color SR5 (Vintage Sunburst) with Rosewood board and different pickguards would be very helpful in this matter. :D

Enjoy the new bass Eric. White perloid would look good on it. I kind of like the black myself.

Oh you lost your underwear there. :D

Congrats on the your new SR5!! Enjoy it!
As for the PG, if it were me, I'd be considering white pearloid!

Guards being considered: Tort, White Pearl, Black Pearl, any other suggestions are welcome. Don't forget the pictures.

My one dog loves my dirty undies. She'll take them out of the laundry pile and drag them back into my room.

Congrats on ditching the Fenders for a ticket to Tone Country.
Yep, I'm pretty happy about that. :)

You did good Eric, and your Photoshop work is excellent!

There is a picture of me somewhere on this board with an SR5 that could use some photoshop magic, think you could make me thin? .... No wait, that would kill the joke. :D

Enjoy that new bass!

.... and please don't anyone drag that pic out... AGAIN!!!
