Why does F#%&#r put those chrome pup covers on their basses? Do they serve a purpose? Not a big fan of those.

If you look at some of the greats through the years as James Jamerson, Duck Dunn, Joe Osbourne and look at those photos, Those covers we're used as thumb rest and look at the angle the basses we're at,
They got that ole upright tone out of an electric Fender Bass with that syle,

Today the whole scene has changed, Fender now does it more for look then actual playing style.
todate only a few players like Will Lee to mention one still uses the cover-s.

Seafoam Green is a great color....I like the thought of a bongo in that color...would be interesting....as I hate the color green. ;)

Call that color "soap scum".

It reminds me of the soggy underbelly of a bar of soap that someone left sitting in a soapdish full of water.

Not that I don't like the color or anything, that's just what it evokes for me.

We have all seen Sea Foam Green. But it's Fender's name for that color. If they should decide to make up their own name, we were offering suggestions. No education needed for this 26 y/o kid. :D

Also, it could be the lighting, but the sea foam in jack's pic looks different than the "sea foam" that has been used on Mike's new bass.

How about a Central Coast theme and call it Morrow Bay Aqua, or Morrow Bay Green, Pismo Green, Avila Surf...maybe something along those lines.

Yup the old stomping grounds.... :(

if you watch south park...you will notice that the color of that bass is exactly the same as the color of the cafeteria floor.
