well, we had it tough. each day we'd have to go out, scrape the moss off of the particle board with our tongues, then our daddy would beat us and send us to our room without supper.

Yes, I know I'm lucky that I don't have to walk to school uphill, barefoot, and in the snow for miles and miles. :)

You know, I have to admit I had my heart set on a Ric, but the Stingray just had me mesmerized. Not unlike the 20th Anniversary Silhouette the first time I played it. Wow!

I learned how to play guitar on an old tee square I used in tech drawing class at school. I scribed six strings into it and would place my fingers on the lines to learn the chords.

I knew all the shape and names of chords before knowing what they sounded like !!

Would have been so much easier if I had of chosen the bass back then :)

You think that was tough! I forgot to mention that I had to make my spaghetti strings by hand every morning and found the timber by cutting a pine tree down with a teaspoon. Every day I would practice for two hours while sitting in the middle of the motorway, then go home, only to stabbed, cut into pieces and put in a shoe box by my father.

I just ordered a Stingray yesterday. It'll be my first bass. I'm gonna learn how to play bass! :)

---

So now I've got a Stingray HS on order. This will be the fourth EBMM I've ordered, and this time, I'm actually looking forward to the wait--if that makes any sense--because I know it will be one SWEET instrument. :)

Nice purchase, but I'm really confused. You say this will be your first bass, but then say this will be the 4th EBMM you've ordered. Huh?

Edit: Ah... lemme guess... you were a guitar player and played EBMM???
