Well, I've been keeping a low profile, but I can't hold out any more!

It's here - my minimally used DG HH Bongo 5!!
Thanks to Soniq's post re the bass appearing on eBay, it's now here in my hands!

I had bid on it and was at that point the highest bidder, when somehow the seller, Rob Manganello of New Orleans, had his account hacked into. To avoid losing the sale all together, he pulled the listing, but contacted me, and we worked out the sale anyway. Quite the stand up guy - a real pleasure to do business with!

The bass arrived today in mint condition, and my son and I have been fighting over it all day!:) This is way too much fun!:D :D

You go girl. Thats sweet!!:D It took me a week or so to get used to being a 5stringer again but Im sure glad I did. Especially when it comes to playing with guitar players that tune a half step down. Now its just a simple position switch.

Great looking bass. I'll bet it sounds as sweet as it looks.

I've test drove a few Bongos and I love the tones they produce, but I'm still trying to get used to the shape, odd looking little fellas. I've been a diehard Fender Man all my like and have been converted over to Musicman a few months ago.

A Bongo in my future? Maybe............ Keep us posted on your likes and dislikes if you will. Enjoy my dear..........your son is fortunate to have his mom share the gift of Music with him.........God Bless.........:)

.........yeah, but I'm gonna learn how to play this one first!:p :D :p :D

Pics of Tim playing are forthcoming - we're having camera issues since Tim nailed John's camera by running into him while skimboarding!

So far I've only played it a little bit, but it's a wonderful thing!! I'll be bringing it out on Thursday, fo'sho'!
