BFR = Ball Family Reserve
If you go to the music-man.com website you can find some of the standard BFR models which include the JP, Luke, Axis, AL and others. Some differences from the standard models include maple caps on the AL, Luke, JP, tone blocks etc.

In addition, a BFR can be anything else they might decide to put out. It has included the Gold roller, Silo doubleneck, instruments with all rosewood necks and may include limited runs like the 25th, limited colors or anything else they come up with that may be interesting or inventive.
