I loved living in NYC and seeing the Sony studios and The Hit Factory turn into condos. Score 1 for the musicians of the world!

Huh.... I visited the Hit Factory when I was a young recording engineer. Out of business, interesting. They were very snooty, as I recall. For some reason, the folks in the sound/recording world all work overtime to sound smarter than one another. I like being a player, better.

Well it does not bother me listening to CDs though I do not own an Ipod. I still go to my brothers twice a week and his middle floor looks like Pages in It Might Get Loud, with all the cases of Vinyl albums, and I sit and listen for a few hours of quality music.

My uncle has approximately 20.000 vinyls. It's amazing going over there every now and then and listen to the stuff. It's also a bonus that I get the ones he has more then one of ;). Great amp, big @ss speakers and a great pickup. His favorite band is the Who and he plays the albums like you were standing in front of Pete's Hiwatt. He religiously kept a cd-player out of his house until he finally cracked in 2009 :D. He even bought a DVD-player last month after seeing David Gilmour's Royal Albert Hall gig at my house. Yeah, he'll probably get an iPod sometime around 2037 ;)
