I'm going to feel like the supreme a$$hole if this falls through, but I just got a buyer for my Magna 750. We're going to meet tomorrow at 5:30 to exchange cash-for-title.

I've already e-mailed Jack to check price/availability of a Desert Gold HH 4 Bongo w/Black Ice PG; just like his personal one on the bovinehost website.

I am f*cking psyched about this purchase...getting it two months early!

Guess I'll use my year-end bonus to purchase another EBMM bass while in NYC...a Sterling most likely.

Selling the Magna after the summer ended was something I had planned on before I even bought the bike. I'm getting a 2006 VTX1300 in late March-early April.

The thing that peaves me is that, now that I have the cash, I can't find a DG HH B locally to save my a$$! Wasted 30m (and a 20 mile SF rush hour drive) at GCSF this evening waiting on this slow-witted chimp (from the guitar and bass dept.) who had no idea what a Bongo even was (let alone Desert Gold) search the racks and the warehouse, only to come back, look up at the rack (where he had pulled a 5'r DG HH B for reference; I had to point that one out to him, as well), and see that the "Desert Gold" 4-string Bongo he had been searching for was actually the Graphite Pearl HH B4 that was hanging next to the 5'r..........

A couple more local tries, then I go online.

shamus have you called SJ GC? Ive found that they usually have more bass stuff than the SF. if youre going bass shopping give a brutha a call and ill tag along

oh ya Height Ashubry music shop in sf carries EBMM and so does rocker guitars in SF (around the corner from the old GC) ... and its kinda far but theres the GC in El Cerrito. MAN !!! i really, really wish Gelb in Redwood City carried EBMM - those dudes are pretty good over there - always take care of me but they aint go EBMM so i dont buy guitars/basses there - but anything else i go there - they usually beat GC prices too

Yep, it's official (and I don't mean OLP!).

I'm the proud owner of not only my first BONGO-4 (Stealth Black HS w/BI PG), but also my first new EBMM!

BP, I've finally contributed to the pot. Just one of many "Thank You's" to come (still gotta order my DG HH B4 w/BI PG from Jack; at least I won't sweat the wait).

The only "mods" will be changing to a White Ice PG, and putting some low-tension strings on.

Other than than, it's good-to-go.

Will post a pic or two later...gotta play!
