welcome and congats on the white Bongo. Nice to know there won't be too many of them. The white on white looks great but I must say I love tort on that combination too.
Deaj said:Definitely a shame that they discontinued the white. I haven't spent any appreciable time looking for a difference but I can say that if there is a difference it's pretty subtle. The color is stunning regardless!

The fretted version that I had before didn't match so well. The body was the nice, creamy marshmallow white like the current Bongo, but the neck was more of an Olympic white. It didn't bother me at the time, and I was perfectly happy with it, even though the difference in color was the first thing I noticed when it was taken out of the shipping box (after the presence of frets, of course).
After I saw the new color match on the fretless, I really noticed just how different the two whites really were. With both basses side by side under the harsh Guitar Center lighting, the difference in color was pretty stark. If you don't notice, they match.![]()
I noticed that my fretless neck looks whiter in photos, too, but I think it has more to do with the satin finish on the headstock vs the gloss finish on the body.
Oh, and the Bongo sounds absolutely amazing through my GK1001RB/AguilarGS112/EACXL110 rig, too.![]()
