Wow...this bass really is amazing...got a 5 Stealth on Wednesday...one ? For the experts...does the G seem unusually close to edge of the neck/fret bevels?
Doesn't take much effort to pull the string off the neck...probably poor technique on my part, but was wondering if anyone else notices the same...thanks

Can you post a pic?

To me, the G isn't closer than the B to the edge of the board

Given that EBMM basses all share the same bridge and nut / neck width therefore the spacing is a characteristic of these basses. As you've said its more to do with what you were used to play before.

I assure you it's not a culture shock matter, and one that you will easily adapt to in a week if not days, and soon you won't even recognize any difference.

Good score on the bass, show-us-a-pitcha!

I thought the same thing when I got my Bongo 5. If I play sloppily, I can pull the G off the edge. So, I try not to play sloppily. ;) I felt strongly enough about it to take a trip to Guitar Center and play a Stingray 5, and it was about the same as my Bongo. It has never caused a problem, though, and it took about a week to get used to it.

I thought that about the G string for about five minutes after I got my first Bongo. Then I got used to it and I don't notice it.

It was just a bit different from my old bass, that's all.

Welcome to the cult. There will be a mandatory reprogramming session at dawn tomorrow, followed by an inspirational address from our esteemed leader, Lord Bongo.

On a Bongo 6 the G string won't come off the edge no matter how your technique is. :D

You will get used to it. I got my first SR5 and did a bit of that before I cleaned my playing up.

that happened on my old non-ebmm fiver which had fairly tight spacing, didn't take long to get used to it, and may i echo everone else's sentiments and say "pics?"

I noticed the G thing when I first started messing with SR5s. But a little work on my technique took care of it almost immediately!
