Alright now i have had it:D I have 2 sil specials and a 1983 Yamaha SGB-1000. The pick ups on the Silos are just not cutting it compared to the Yamaha's..
open, alive, more powerfull, crisp and clear yet, punchy..... The folks at Yamaha tell me that they now use Duncan 59's but i just don't know... The Virtual Pafs just sound congested compared to the Yams (and i don't want to put the Yams in the silos)..... I play classic to hard rock, JCM800, crunch box..... I a, lookong for an open sounding, punchy pick up..

HELP!

I put a DiMarzio EJ Custom into the bridge of one of my guitars. It's an amazing pickup with a lot of note definition. It's the best sounding bridge pickup I've tried.

I have a silo special with a duncan distortion on the bridge and I love it, high output, tight as hell and sounds great distorted, if your looking for less output a JB is a good option or a custom, if you wanna see how the pup sounds ill pm you some tunes -

Solid pickup, gets my vote. Even across the frequencies, rocks out and cleans up well. Should be good to split and mix with the singles.

I replaced for a Dimarzio Paf Pro. It's great ... clear and dynamic !
I also replaced the stock singles to rounder sounding Bill Lawrence L-280's

It's my swiss army knife guitar now !
