I'd trade you for an 8.5 lb Sterling HH, I am totally addicted to my BC!! I play it 90% of the time lately. I just wish it was a lb lighter.

I just got back from Gold's 5 minutes ago - seriously!!

I've owned so many basses over the years and the ones I keep are light. Lightweight is never insurance that it'll play or sound good but when I find one that's got it all and is light it's a keeper for sure. I see it as just my personal quirk, not any sort of comment on the weight of basses in general.

This '89 2 band Ray is my all-time favorite Stingray and it's 7.9 lbs...

Welcome to the forum. Have fun here.
Your new bass is quite the find. As is the one the orignal poster found.

If you read this whole thread before posting. We really aren't as one way and as bad as it sounded. :)

if I had a SR5 H, I'd buy that stock PG off you and put on in mine...just for shock value!
Imagine some blue sparkle w/ that crazy brown'ish PG...it would be so ugly I think even Jack would start drooling! :p

Again I vote for this or perhaps a slight shifting color variation of this for a LE color.
