Nahh your English is fine Ily ... it's open -

isn't Photo Shop great?

It has lots of different tools n things ... I mean ....

.... look at how the "burn" tool has totally obliterated the image of the guitar in this case!!

Sit down and let me tell you a story ...

a few months ago I made a thread about a load of old amps ( Vox, Marshall etc)my mate has.

I see him a lot and he tells me that he knows of a MM 112 RP 65 for sale. - a bit tatty but good!!

I tell him that it's not the one I'm looking for - I want the RD (with the tube pre amp).

He tells me the price and I think about it .... nah I tell him, no thanks.

So that night he lets me play thro a 50's Fender Champ, A 62 Marshall 45 JTM, a 72 Marshall 50 and an "eight knob Vox AC 30"
(this becomes relevant later)

So I thank him for the coffee and letting me play thro his amps.

Anyway the next evening I see him and he says "guess what I just bought?"

"Dunno" I say "The Holy grail - 'cos if anybody can find it - you can!!"

"No he says, a MM 112 RP 65"

"Wot, the tatty one?" I ask?

"No he says another one - 9.5/10 condition - no discolouration of the amp chassis thro heat - a great amp he says" He is an amp tech, and knows his stuff!!

So lunchtime I went out, tried it and bought it - I can always get my money back on this if I decide to sell it.
In comparison to the amps I mentioned earlier - it wasn't the best - but it wasn't the worst either!! A tube distortion pedal out front would be interesting!!

So sorry guys - no new guitar yet!! and BP I hope you turn a blind eye to this amp thread sorry

oh and PeteD - I'm not in your league yet re "Thread teasing" - but I think I'm getting better??

Right off to the gig soon!!

... oh "Holy Grails".

Ever tried buying a driver for a Horn - no not the Piezo type!!

They are damn expensive - he only got me one this afternoon NOS £8.50 instead of £45!!! (yeah - cheap!! for a project of mine)

He's great - I've asked him to track me down a Cheap MR Horsepower lol

That is Awesome ! I asked before and I know Big Poppa is not interested in the Amp Market. There would probably be a loyal following though since MusicMan Guitars are of high Quality. At least I would be interested.

Yeah S'Floyd I remember BP saying that he had no wish to carry on in the Amp niche and that he has NOS MM amps still in their cardboard boxes.

I'll still look at finding an RD MM but it will be hard to find one in the same condition?

Oh yeah - mine is the UK version too - no swop out of transformer or no adapter needed.

Just gonna load up the car and get off to the gig - It's gotta start earning it's keep.
