Another great design from the EBMM team!

Is this a typo? The Mariposa page states:
Offset angular mahogany body shape provides a beautiful unique appearance while retaining maximum balance and playing comfort.

But later in the specs it says:
The Mariposa features an offset lightweight okoume body,

I caught that as well but per EBMM they are the same - more manufacturers are moving towards using the true name "Okoume" instead of African mahogany.

How much does it weigh Pete?

The case? heh heh heh

Guitar is 6lb 14oz

Interested.... will be keeping eyes and ears open for video reviews...

I gave it a QC when it arrived and the independent volume controls are pretty cool. I haven't had time to A/B it with anything yet, but hopefully get the chance in another day or two.

Is that a forearm contour?

No, that's a reflection of the case lid.

I really like it but I’ll have to sell one to buy one. Or wait awhile.

The artist who they designed it for is a lefty, so it would be pretty shocking if they didn't.

Well, in the promo photo where Omar is holding a white righty, there's a pink lefty propped up in the background behind him. And there's another shot of him on stage playing a white righty. But on their product page, it says "Left Handed: no".

They will be available in a left handed model soon! Stay tuned...

I really REALLY like the design. I had always been on the fence over the St Vincent model, as I don't quite get along with the design. This though, I like. It's right along the lines of guitars like the firebird and other things to come out of the 60s. Great retro design with modern appointments.

They're both reminscent of Firebirds to me. St. V's even moreso (maybe because of the pickups). I didn't really think this about the Mariposa until seeing that AMS vid above where it's at an angle.

I gotta hand it to the signature artists and MM designers though. Somehow their signature models always capture the personality of the artist. Yet are neutral and cool enough for others too.
