Things won't be complete until my Buttercream SR5 (H-S) shows up in a month or two, but I figured I'd show off anyway. :D

I like that white pickguard on the Honeyburst/Maple(or is that just "Sunburst") SR4. mabye i'll try that with mine, what do you think?

I've never been a Tort fan; I think the white pg compliments the Burst.

Ernie Ball does some of the best burst finishes in the business and Honeyburst is my fave. I should have my third SR4 in Honeyburst soon and it'll be my first maple board - should look a lot like yours Tom. Very nice!

I think that generally lighter pickguards look better with maple, and darker pickguards look better with rosewood.

Thansk guys! I wasn't sure about the white pckguard at first (I thought about black or even clear as a recplacement) but the white grew on me pretty quickly. Pearloid is a little busy for my taste, but it is kind of cool.

The bottom line is that I feel lucky to have two basses that are so nice, with a third on the way! I can comfortably go to either and know that I'm going to get a fat, punchy tone without too much work. That's what it's all about, right?
