I figured it had been a while since I took and updated picture of all of my Music Man basses together. Plus, I have added a few and sold of 2 others so it was time.

Thanks guys. I am going to do a better picture in the near future. I think a cloud must have floated in front of the sun because of the shadowing on some of the basses. Plus it was cold as a son of a gun outside too. I also need to re-invest in some more stands. I had several stands that were all the same kind and in excellent condition but took them to an event with the last church I was on staff at. The event is called "Praise in the park" where several local churches worship teams go to our local park and each plays a set of worship music. Unfortunately, I think someone accidentally grabbed my guitar stands by mistake and left me these other ones that were not in such good shape or matching. Oh well, not a big deal.

Awesome collection, Jay. I love how you are focusing on the limited runs. Sorry to hear someone stole your nice stands.

John,

she is doing great. Thank you for asking. We did have a little scare a few months back in October because they found 2 masses on her ovaries. She had a hysterectomy but everything came back cancer free still so that was very good! My wife is now on the planning committee for the Relay for Life and she is getting ready for the next one that will be this summer.

@Tollie, I have a love for the limited runs. But I also love the regular production stuff too. With the stands, it sucks what happened but not a big deal. At that show in the park, there was so much equipment that was mixed together behind the stage that it was bound to happen. I'm surprised more stuff didn't get accidentally taken.

Oh man, that is a tough question. I really like all of them. A lot too! Probably my two favorites in a slight edge are the Bongo 4 H and the Bongo 4 Hp. After that is probably the Dargie. I've had her the longest and playing her gives me a different bit of sound as opposed to the others. Actually, they all share similarities but differences as well when it comes to the tones they produce. With the honey roasted neck, I just got it about 3 or 4 weeks ago so I am still familiarizing myself with it. The last one, the breast cancer awareness bass, it is just special for so many reasons. It gets played probably the least but it is not because it is my least favorite. It is because it is used for special occasions but that bass cuts through a mix like no other bass I have ever owned or played before.

Thanks again guys. I'm going to redo the family portrait as soon as we get some nice weather. This past weekend we had a wonderful worship service celebrating the resurrection of Christ. We did probably the longest worship set that we have done in a while. That day I used my candy apple red Bongo 4 Hp. She played awesome too. Since then, I have been wanting to play even more so I am looking forward to this weekend big time. I'm think the DDII Bongo will get her turn this week.

How many Bongos are required to be a Bongoloid? That's a killer family you have!
