The new Steve Morse thread inspired me to try a new paint job on my Axis....

What do you think???

I did this real quick in photoshop, so the color is a bit loud....But I'm tempted to buy another natural Axis, and do a burst...

uh huh huh....you said 'gay'...

Hey, Mr. Artiste...why don't you give it a run at a BD type approach? :)

I do like the traditional/sunburst type though...

That would be borderline sacrilege......leave that one alone.....keep the burst color thing going....I like what you are doing with it....might find one I like. But, lets not mess with the almighty BD.

OK, what I was getting as was the Pacific Blue Burst. BD (yes, Blue Dawn) tends to stick with you, as any BD owners will tell you...pardon the goof.

Dammit Lew, why you gotta be torturing me with that Axis, bro? :D

Does anyone know where I could get a paint job like the Axis in the 1st pic? I was thinking of getting my SS painted to to a chip in the paint. BTW, that was done with Photoshop wasn't it?

Yes, it's a photoshop of my natural Axis.
Any good guitar painter can do that for you. Simply, sand, stain, clearcoat.

Just let me know if you want one done. All I really need is a high res pic, and I can alter it in any way.
