I have never seen an influx of new forum members in the numbers that we have had this year! A lot of really cool guys who have infused some new blood into the boards with some bad ass axes to go along. I am really curious as to how you guys got into EBMM guitars and what was the model that got you hooked? Anyone care to share?

Hey Mike, I'll share. I was originally hooked, like many, by the EVH model back in it's inception. It really took me by surprise how nice this guitar was/is. When he hooked up with EBMM, I took notice and wanted one ever since, badly but couldn't afford one.

I think it's fair to say that as I added to my collection, I got hooked in even further with my AL's. They became the biggest hook of them all. Quite honestly, the looks lost me for a while but as I learned more about the AL from Spud and Robelinda2, I was mesmerized and had to try one. I ordered one sight unseen and holy smokes! These guys spoke the gospel. Now I can't think of any other guitar. I think it is THE best model that suites me in the looks dept. and in every other aspect.

I have a friend that is endorsed by EB but has a sig model with another company and after he saw mine, he is madly in love after an AL. Hopefully we can pull him to the darkside!

I was hooked by an ebmm axis supersport with maple neck. I loved the quality of the guitar, the feel of the neck, and the of course the sound. The aspect of a well constructed modern guitar in an insane quality hooked me.

Being a juniorista the simpleness off the guitar impressed me. Unfortunately i sold the guitar. I thought it looked to small on my body ( i´m 6"2), in my band there was no place for a modern guitar.

2010 i quit my band and i was looking for a " modern guitar" that wasn´t a superstrat. I read an artikel about the al with rosewood neck, liked it, bought one of ebay .
I was totally impressed by the qualtiy of the craftsmenship and the tone. Perfect guitar for me. I decided to jump on the bandwagon to get more balls. Finally i have 6 balls
The last one i bought is a 25th. With ebmm it is possible to buy a guitar without playing it. I ordered mine in italy and i´m not scared to get a piece of crap.
The other thing that impressed me are the company policies.
EbMM produces their guitars with workers in the US, not try to outsource parts of the production to far east and hide this fact.
They treat their workers fair, try to keep them in jobs thats the main goal in business.
I live in germany , i love high quality products and i think it is fair to pay a good price for a good product.

Spud wipes a tear from his eye - that is so nice to here. I speak as I find about the Al - a fantastic guitar that deserves to have a greater impact.

I was sold after visiting NAMM last year. I had always been an Ibanez guy, but after looking the MM booth, I was simply amazed. I couldn´t believe the finishes and craftsmanship of the guitars.

Being a Morse fan for a long time, I just "had" to have the SMY2D, which I now proudly own. The feel of the guitar is just superb. It plays amazingly well, and the neck is unbelievable. All the electronics really put a smile on my face, since the guitar cleans so well when you play with the volume.

That being said, with a Morse in my hands, the madness just can´t stop. I traveled to NY last November, and obviously went to visit GC Manhattan, in order to look for an Axis. While my quest for Axis was unleashed, a marvelous Silho, with an amazing all rosewood neck captured my sight. Played it, and here it is at home. No other guitar feel as great in my hands as MM, and I tried some very expensive Fenders and Gibsons. But no comparison could be made. Tone wise, look wise, and feel wise, MM won all over the way.

Now I guess I want a Luke, a Petrucci and a Reflex, but first I have to return to the States. Here in Chile these babes are horrendously expensive (the dealer sells a new Morse -standard- for about U$2,500).

And also the people on this board are super friendly and helpful with any problems or questions the *noobs* like me have about EBMM guitars.

So I guess I´m know hooked on MM. And I like it

Oh, and I have to add than another reason for my GAS to be admitted at home is that my wife (who is a designer) LOVES the way MM guitars looks. She founds them to be amazingly "pretty", so she encourages me to buy more...I guess we have to look them as a piece of art

Well its the consistent quality, openness of the company, people at the company starting with Sterling and well comfort.

I ws looking for a HSS guitar with EMG,s knew nothing about the company except for super slinkys. Went to GC and up on the wall was a Luke, bought it and well have never looked back.

EVH got me introduced to the now named Axis initially but I wasn't sure about it. I saw it in videos and photos and thought ok nice guitar but I was always a Strat/Super Strat guy. I walked into a music store and there were about 3-4 Axis hanging on the wall, curious of course I picked one up and was pretty much sold in the first 15 secs. I've never picked up a guitar that felt this solid. I know people praise all EBMM all the time about this but it was the quality that got me first and the feel of the guitar. Also, once I saw the Axis in person it looked so much better and I fell in love with a guitar shape I didn't expect to.

I waited for the right one to come along (and have enough funds) and when I saw a Pacific Blueburst hanging on the wall of that same music store about 1.5 years later I bought it. It was one of those "Ok I checked everything out that I wanted to today in the store...oh wait a minute lets take a quick look at the Music Man's before I leave" moment haha and like something out of Wayne's World I saw the Blueburst color jump out at me from across the store. Excalibur!

A few years ago I was cheap guitar guy, only buying guitars in the $500 range. I had intended to buy a PRS SE, but GC had a EBMM SUB model out on the floor. It blew it away I had to have it. Its still one of my favorites too.

I am a Morse addict thus the Morse EBMM became my dream guitar ... For my 30 birthday I asked for it ... and I had it. After that I discovered the forum. Firstly, I was a bit shy (a poor Frenchman lost with all this English speaking guys ...). But after a few months I decided to register and participate. It was clear that the forum lacked some French sophistication. Now they are quite a lot a French forumites (we even have an Irish spy in our rank) but surprisingly enough, nobody started a strike yet ...

My introduction to EBMM was the JP6. I really wanted one, I already had the Petrucci Ibanez. I managed to find a rather nice one and loved it. But the one that really won me over is the HH AL. Now, most of the non EBMM are gone. They have an attraction factor that I have not found yet in another brand.

I've been an on and off browser of this forum for the past few years. Just decided to join recently to stay in touch with new EBMM products and to ask questions if needed.

I got hooked with the JP model. It's truly an amazing guitar that just keeps getting better. I enjoy all the other guitars EBMM makes and wish I could afford to have them all. My next guitar purchase will probably be a reflex... or a JP12 lol. I am however in need of a bass so I may pick up a bongo before anything

I have been looking at Music Man when I found out about Dream Theater about 10 years ago. Since 2 years I've been playing in a Dream Theater Tribute band and I never liked to play a guitar with someone else's name on it. However, find a 7-string with piezo that plays as good as a EBMM. There is no other than the JP7, even custom shop is really hard to find.
I traded a custom made Mayones with cash for my current EBMM JP7 last week and I'm incredibly happy. I still have some pretty awesome guitars, including another custom made 7. However, the EBMM JP7 is the only guitar that does it all.

And I'm really happy to join you guys for real this time.

What now? Maybe selling a guitar for another EBMM, who knows

i have never really been into/joined forums before. However the peole on here are extremely knowalgeable,nice people. So i figured with my first music man purchase coming up (whenever the jp12 is released o__O) i figured i would join. My interest in the company came from many friends saying good things about the instruments, and after playing one first hand (a JPX!-7) i knew i was hooked!

The curiosity started a while ago w/ the likes of Luke, JP, SM and others having signature models.
Finally had the chance to play a Luke when a friend asked me to sit in on a tune or two, he has 2 Lukes.
I liked everything about it - then came the quest to get one of my own....

Hooked !

Now I've got an AL on my radar and perhaps a Silo down the road.

I was shopping just last week to replace my Warmoth-swamp-ash-bodied Strat with something lighter and more versatile, stumbled across what must have been the last True Gold Luke still in the wild and completely fell in love with it. Wasn't really familiar with EBMM guitars, so I came here to look into them.

Well. Bought it today. I don't love the colour, but I sure do love the neck and the sound!

I had known about EBMM guitars for quite some time and had always liked the look of the Axis Super Sport but never really got a chance to play one. I went into Guitar Center to check out a few guitars when the salesperson showed me a LUKE of which I knew nothing about. As soon as I started playing it I knew it was an amazing instrument and I ended up bringing it home. Since then I've been fortunate enough to be able to get a couple more Music Mans and if I can sell my other brands custom shop guitars I will be buying a few more EBMM's.

I went to Guitar Center this past October with very intention of buying a new Les Paul Standard Traditional Pro. I even called ahead to make sure they had the color I wanted in stock.When the salesman handed me the guitar my heart sank to the floor. The quality was terrible. The neck looked like a banana the action was awful and their was overspray around the neck joint. The epiphones looked and felt better. After trying everything in my $2,000 budget I saw a cherry burst Axis and thought I'd give it a test drive. I couldn't put it down! I've hardly touched any of my other guitars since. I was sure a guitar this awesome must have an owners group or forum somewhere. Then i found this BROTHERHOOD of EBMM owners. BTW the sticker price on my Axis was $1349. Quite a boo boo on GC's part. They had priced it wrong and it actually sold for $1920 but the sales manager let me have it at the misquoted price. Honestly I would have paid the full price without arguing. That's how good this axe is!
