Hey, folks...

Wanted to share the news with my EB/MM bretheren...I am now branch manager of the soon-to-open Baltimore and DC branches of the Paul Green School of Rock Music (www.schoolofrock.com). We teach kids age 9-17 how to play, and put them in performance situations doing all sorts of shows from AC/DC and Metallica, to the Beatles/Stones/Who, to Queen, to funk and reggae, to King Crimson and Yes.

I'm really looking forward to doing this...teaching the kids, getting them into music and performing, etc. And BP, I'll be obviously recommending lots of EB products to my kids! :)

That sounds like a great gig!

I wouldn't mind doing something like that.
I think there's a branch in Austin or something like that. I don't know how close you are, but...

That is a wonderful thing you're doing there at that school. Kids that age need attention and direction in their lives. Sadly, many kids can't get that at home. You are providing a much needed service to your community.

The rehearsal place I teach at was actually approached by these guys. They asked me to be a clinician for it, but it never came to fruition they just stopped contact the rehearsal facility owner.

This was in San Antonio.

I saw a show on cable about that school. I think it was in Philly. The kids were playing Zappa tunes and even went to Europe for some Zappa festival.

Pretty cool.

That's the one. You probably saw the edited version, but it's a documentary movie called "Rock School." You can probably rent it at Blockbuster or Netflix, and it is pretty cool. It's kind of surreal working with those exact people, too.

A cool thing to check out is:

You'll see songs of all quality there. The Philly kids are darned good. And check out some of the guest stars!
