New Guitar Day: BFR Petrucci **pics**

Well, I just want to start this out by thanking Jason for everything. Truely a great guy, and a real pleasure to deal with! The guitar arrived in perfect condition, set up quite well, with perfect intonation and all that good stuff!

Gonna do a little review or something like it:

Feel:
The neck, oh my god...the neck...is perfect. A really amazing compromise between a Jackson speed neck, ESP Extra Thin U, and the Ibanez Prestige Wizard...i love it! So fast, so easy to play...everything just feels like butter. On the other hand, bloody rosewood...it has a rosewood fretboard, and i am not much of a fan of the feel of rosewood on the tips of my fingers during a bend. The fretwork is excellent! They used a really small fret wire, not very high, and quite narrow...but the result is a really easy playing fretboard. Upper fret access is sick...bolt on is not a problem here...

Sound:
The guitar has this natural unplugged sound, just this amazing natural reverb with a really full tonal sound and really quite loud. The mahog neck and mahog tone block really helps! Pickups...well, i like em! Aint had that much time on them, but the drop sonic has a really agressive tight sound. Lots of attack, and so far my fav passive pickup! The neck pickup has a really nice clean tone, really warm and smooth. The peizo is just amazing, one of the coolest things i have ever had the fortune of bieng able to play. It really sounds like an acoustic! Really!! Has that acoustic sound...its really funny! Unlike any of the other peizos i have tried, this actually sounds real!

Looks:
Do i really need to say? It looks amazing...i love the red/black burst...always wanted one like that! The top, is spectacular...i am really happy with it.

cant really thnk of what else goes into a review... :p

oh yea..
