well, after buying and selling my first JP6 (dumb, dumb, dumb...), 2 20th anniv silos, i bought... another jp6! got myself this beautiful 2008 ltd ed for a fraction of the price. there's no place like home afterall. the question is, will i raise the pups or will i put emgs innit?

edit, a bit more info: i played it thru a dual recto at moderate volume with varying degrees of gain.at high gain it was a bit too noisy for my taste(thru a honderd euro monster cable non the less). and funny enough, it didn't provide for the monster distortion i had imagined, i guess you have to crank the master a bit more than that.

with the gain at 12 o'clock, it provided the Lost Without You crunch without me even trying.

thank everyone. i just tried practicing a bit and it didn't go too good. which is great! i guess i'm gonna wait a while before switching pups. again, the emgs seem to friendly to really hear whats going on with my playing. and solid state **** doesn't do this guitar justice. im gonna fire the tonebone up and see what happens.

man, i like it more each second... such a refined sound... it highlights everything you put into it at the same time.

and it certainly appreciates valves over modellers...

i feel real lucky today!

Nice LE, congrats, but why would you want to change the pups, JP pups are awesome, wish I could get along with the neck profile:)
