Thread-jacks are always fine with me...have I introduced you to my new puppy, Molly?

Mario, you had to see that one coming...

Is this a dogs & MusicMan thread now? If so, I'll post a pic of the pups with my white/graphic Rosewood JP later

Thanks!

Pete - by all means...pics with the graphics Luke would be a welcome addition. Thank you very much for the Ernie Ball coated strings. I like them.

Man that is nice! I agree about the roasted maple necks being very cool! I finally was able to play a L3 earlier tonight with the roasted maple neck it was a beauty!

Thanks, guys.

I'm a diehard Floyd Rose guy, but I must say that the ebmm tremolo with the locking tuners is quite good. I'd never tried one before and I assumed it would feel like a vintage tremolo with six screws. The two posts, like a Floyd, is a vast improvement over the six screws. I originally thought I might have to have the guitar modified to install a Floyd, but instead I am keeping it as is.

Yeah the trem setup on a luke straight from factory is unreal. Glad you like it

I had my share of floyds, but with the vintage MM trem and the Petrucci trem I don't think I want to go back. Nothing wrong with a good Floyd though.

Tollie: is the roasted neck just as smooth as the ones from the PDN run? I assume they are, and I absolutely adore the neck on my PDN Y2D. Seriously considering a LIII, either emerald green or bodhi blue..

I like how you think!

Thank you, my good man.

Yes, the roasted necks on the Luke feel exactly like the roasted necks on the PDN run and exactly like the roasted necks on the Dark Lords. They feel so smooth that they are frictionless. They feel like they are already broken in. I love roasted necks with the ebmm wax/oil finish. They are my absolute favorite necks I've ever played, and I've been playing since 1986 and I've owned well over 100 nice guitars. Now, I only play ebmms and I have instructed both of my sons that they do not need to go through 100 guitars to find their dream instruments: just keep the ebmms I gave them and their search is over.

Oh, and another comment on the ebmm tremolo:
I am really enjoying that it floats, and the tremolo is SO smooth. I am having alot of fun.
