You're really going for the vintage trem, aren't you?

haha, yes, I am totally into the ebmm vintage trem. Which is kind of funny since I was a die hard Floyd guy since 1986. The ebmm trem is so light and smooth and it stays in tune so well. I really love them now that I've tried them.

What made you decide to go for this one?

My obsessive compulsive addictive personality, for starters. :D

Ever since I bought my Luke III, I fell in love with the comfortable body shape, the wonderful V neck, and the vintage trem. I recently sold my mahogany bodied Axis and the BFR Luke has one of those. Ebony fretboards are my favorite and I love unusual tops. Oh, and have I mentioned that I am a pimp?!? Yes, the gold hardware will suit me nicely.

Thank you for the nice comments, guys.

I would like to recommend to Sterling that the person who sprays the sunburst necks at ebmm be given a small raise to let him know how much you appreciate his fine work...wow, the neck is so nicely done: the burst gets dark just at the very edges, and it gets dark at the base where it joins the darker body. The shades blend perfectly. This guy did a very nice job and he obviously takes pride in his work. In fact, every aspect of this guitar is so perfect. You have some very good quality control over there to keep turning out such a fine product, time and time again. Am I gushing? Yes, I am.

Bryan, those KOA Lukes are simply inspiring. I had some quality time with one a few years ago and fell in love with the sounds I was getting out of it. Fantastic guitar to record with, too!

Enjoy it, that one is a beauty.

Hey Guys,

Well, I didn't want to post anything until this was resolved, and it has now been resolved: my Luke arrived slightly damaged. It must have been dropped hard on the top of the box, because the Luke's upper horn thrust itself through the interior storage box of the guitar case. The exposed staples of the case chipped the upper horn right to the bare wood.

After contacting Sweetwater and refusing their offer of a $75 credit  (yes, I laughed my ass off) they agreed to have ebmm refinish the body for me. Well, ebmm did that for us, and pretty quickly, too. The Luke is shipping back to me as we speak, and I repainted Tollywood (my music room) in a milk chocolate color, just in time for it's second arrival. Wow, what a soothing color. I feel very relaxed in there now. The walls were a light tan, which was pretty boring and sterile.

Another problem hopefully resolving itself in time for the Luke's second arrival is my injured left index finger. Last week, I was working on my house and I sliced the fingerprint off of my left index finger (my fretting hand) on a piece of glass. It wasn't a slice, but more of a scoop, so they couldn't stitch it. Wendy drove me to the hospital in her Mustang GT, and she finally drove it faster than a little old lady, probably because I might have been crying a little (haha, what a baby  ). So, it's healing nicely, but I still can't play guitar yet. Maybe in a week or so, as the doctor predicted. This sucks because I play guitar every night and I've really been missing it. But, I'm happy that I'm expected to make a full recovery.

Special thanks to A.J. @ ebmm for helping me with this. He was in touch with me every step of the way, and I really appreciate that. Also, my sweetwater rep, Lindsey Becker, was awesome to deal with and I recommend her to all of you.
