I just ordered an EBMM/JPM from my local shop and they're telling me that it will be about 90 days before it comes in. Is this a realistic timeframe or is there a chance I might see it sooner?

thanks

Ninety days sounds darn good to me... I would have expected six months or more if they have to build it... If there's already one in the warehouse that meets your specs, I suppose it could be sooner, but I don't know how many finished guitars EB/MM actually keep in anticipation of dealer orders, and I don't suppose the number's very high...

agree.

Took 3 months to get my Luke last year. And another luke (one with piezo) is also due in 3 months.

IMO Better to wait and have it built right, just the way you want it, than to get it sooner, in a bland color, after having been handled and abused by a bunch of zit pickers in a music store for who knows how long.

Thanks for the information. You're right, I'd rather wait and know it's going to be exactly how I want it (color, piezo, etc) and know that it wasn't worked over by everyone coming into the shop. It's just the anticipation that's killing me. I can't wait... I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to arrive.

Just Ordered Axis SS

I justed ordered an Axis SS with Piezo in Pacific Blue Burst and HH pickups. I already own one, but wanted the piezo. I printed out a picture of it, for my wife to give me at Christmas and my B-day in January. I can't wait... but I guess I will anyway.

cool

Got a call from the dealer saying my AL was in, and would be shipped Monday.

That's 60 days.

I'll post a few pics when it gets here.

I ordered my JP the first week of February of this year and received it in the middle of March. It took about six weeks for it to arrive. I guess I was just lucky.

DON'T FRET. I ORDERED A MIDNITE BLUE RIC 370/6 FROM RICENBACKER. IT TOOK 9 MONTHS FOR THEM TO BUILD AND SHIP IT. I HAVE SINCE SOLD IT FOR 50.00 MORE THAN I PAID, AND BOUGHT A REALLY NICE NOS AXIS SS/HH. THE MM WILL BE A KEEPER.

Monday will be 60 days since I ordered the Axis SS. I know there's no reason for me to have ants in my pants, but now that it's getting close to my "due date", I do anyway. :)

I'm thinking it may actually be a little longer, due to the holidays.

It's here! We'll actually at the music store. I'm about to go pick it up. It took 3 months to the day. I ordered it with Pacific Blue Burst and piezo, so that may effect the lead time.

I'll post pics.
