I don't think that's possible. Cost and warehousing alone would make it problematic, if not cost prohibitive. As for the cases, maybe they should give the buyer a choice.
I would think too soon to tell at this time, but I'm sure Pete can chime in at some point if he can.Price on this?
The bags they ship their guitars in are also of a lower grade than the PRS "Premium" gig bag. Now, I have no issue with the MONO cases. They are solid and light weight. Kinda wish I had gotten one for my PRS CE 24 instead of the boat anchor that I did buy, which doesn't even have PRS branding on it, but fits the guitar perfectly. Oh well.I came from the PRS world and they made the change from hard cases to bags a while ago. You can still get a PRS case through many dealers when you get your guitar but by default they're in bags. There are still threads on Facebook or TGP popping up regularly complaining about it and IMO people not getting over it is the worst part of the change. Note that the PRS bags are not at the level that Mono bags are.![]()
How did those pickups sound in positions 2 and 4?Over the past 2 year I have experimented with about 8 different types of pickups in my Axis/Axis SS - my 3 favorites were the BKP Mule (Vintage), Suhr SSH (Vintage Hot), and the BKP Polymath (Modern). To me, each of these were improvements (with less output) over the DiMarzios in terms of frequency range, dynamics and compression. YMMV.
There is so much high-end loss and compression with the high output PU, I agree this may be EBMM's attempt to get some of the feel and response back.
Awesome - much better than stock IMO because the output at the neck is very low, giving much more of a single-coil vibe. How did those pickups sound in positions 2 and 4?
Im thinking pf the BK VH11 for the split coil tones.Awesome - much better than stock IMO because the output at the neck is very low, giving much more of a single-coil vibe.
My #1 is current set with Suhr SSV in the neck and position 2 and 4 sound just like a Strat. The BKP Polymath neck is also very good. I think it would be better paired with a Mule neck in this guitar. I love the Polymath bridge - very modern, percussive and articulate - all of the mistakes are crystal clear!
I have never used one, but folks rave about them so definitely worth a try.Im thinking pf the BK VH11 for the split coil tones.
