Hello and Thanks

I bought a EVH EB quilt top back around 1992. Really liked the guitar but many years later I
wanted a 335 and sold it. That was a big mistake as I should have kept it! The EB I bought
was a hard tail.
My question is how many hard tail EVH guitars were made?
I'd love to find another one although, I think the price would be out of reach.

Bought a Sterling Axis and for the money it's quite nice.

Welcome, they share production numbers as that proprietary info. EVH hard tails are out there, keep an eye on Reverb and EvilBay.

You might just as happy with an Axis hard tail, those are very get able.

Good luck, Glenn |B)

There's actually one EVH hard tail with amber top for sale here in Finland, so they ain't rarest of rare, but they sure cost alot. Usually at least 4000€.

Thanks Glenn and Rutles!
Yeah, the EVH hard tails are going to be out of reach.
I definitely want to get out and play some more Axis EB's
to compare with what I have.

The Axis I bought is the Sterling Sub Series and it's going to need new
a nut and some locking tuners.

Oh wow, an EVH HARDTAIL? Thar she blows! That's a white whale if I've ever seen one. You'll need Captain Ahab to track down another.
