So just after receiving my first EBMM (a honeyburst SR5), I decided I had to have SmallEquestrian's Las Vegas Gold Stingray. They're both fantastic and being the newbie I'm surprised by how different they sound. I realize the SR5 has a different pickup and preamp, but it's still a big difference. Honestly, I thought I would just give them both a go and keep one... maybe I wouldn't adjust to the 5-string or something. Now I'm hunting around to try out a single H Bongo, 30th SR4, and 2-band Ray. This is a lot of fun!

What a cool color combo on the Stingray! That's "Las Vegas Gold"? I wonder what color the pickguard is.

Welcome to the forum. I've just got one sr5, but it's my main bass. More someday I hope!

I had the same colr SR5 except w/pearloid PG. Just traded it even for a minty Blue Dawn SR5. I just couldn't resist the Blue Dawn.

Good score on the LVG SR4. Paul lives around the corner from me and I was busily plotting what I could trade him for that bass, but he's too quick for me. (Read: Too Slutty.)

What do you need to know about the single H Bongo? It's the secret weapon. I was a hardcore HH guy and still love my HH5 and HH4 Bongos, but the single H Bongo has knocked them into the Bass Closet.

The 30th Stingray? Well, YEAH. Have I said today that it's the best Stingray ever built? Yes? Well, then, I've said it again.

I think you're going to do well here.

HS Love fest

oh no no no no no no....

I just stopped at GC to buy a guitar stand. that's all. but a sterling HS ruined me. No, I didn't buy it but what am I going to do with all these options? I tried the HH basses before and wasn't taken with the neck humbucker too much. I just had no idea how good the HS would sound. There was also an HH bongo there that has me even more curious about the single and HS versions.

Jack, I'm going to pm or email you shortly with a bunch of questions regarding the 30th, 1HBongo, electronics, etc. I think I'm going to be in trouble this year. And here I thought I was mostly done with buying basses.
