Greetings!

New Stingray owner here. I have played (still do) Fender Precisions for a long time...with my "go to" being my sunburst '62 AVRI...but have always waned to give a Stingray a try.

A couple days ago I ran into a deal for a Stingray Classic 4 with the active/passive tone knob and I knew now was the time!

So here I am...I gigged the bass the same day I got and loved it...!!!

A quick pic the the new weapon...lol

Sweet! I didn't even know such an animal even existed. I had a black/maple classic sr4 and it was awesome. So fine. I don't think anybody makes a better neck or finish than EB.

I did not either...lol...when the deal presented itself, I thought someone had modified a Classic.

I did a LOT of internet searching here and over at Talkbass and decided to buy it.

The neck is very nice. I wasn't sure how I would like it after playing the vintage style P-bass necks (1.75 nut) but it is very comfortable.

My P-basses aren't going anywhere, but they are going to have to share some time now!

All your basses are "Leo Basses" [Essential basic designs of Fender, MM, and GnL].
So they all get along like family does ... some irreconcilable differences but still the
strong family connections. Enjoy your "tribe".
