Hey there. New to EBMM, but now I don't feel like playing anything else! :D

I work for a retailer and could have gotten a new AL for way cheap, but I paid full price for my used 2011 Turquoise Pearl AL HH because I simply had to have that color!

Now I want (need) many more!

Hi neighbor! Welcome to the family! Nice score. Big AL fan here as well. It can do it all!

Wow, the coil taps don't come on the other HH AL's?

Nope. There was a GC special run a couple of years ago that included the coil taps (which I think should be mandatory as they really expand the versatility of these fabulous guitars...).
You can tell by the 'tele' style knobs, which are easy to grab & 'pull'.
The regular AL's come with 'strat' style knobs...

I sold my "GC limited run" in order to purchase my "PDN 2012" and I really regret the coil tap option : it was GREAT!

FYI, all the pickups in those guitars have 4-conductor wiring, so it's pretty easy to install a coil split if you want.

That really makes it even more special to me! Thanks for the info
