Hi I am new here and it looks good, lots of questions answered in a couple of weeks I will actually own a axis super sport hard tail I have had mostly fenders over the last ten years then I saw Bowling for Soup and noticed the lead singers guitar since then I am a big fan of the band and have been trying to learn everything about that guitar so I have a couple of questions

Should I use strap locks? from pics it looks like none of you guys do or are you using different kind ?

Is there anything to look out for other than the usual,no scratches dents or dings?

if I have any other questions I am happy I now have a place to ask thanks

Hi Bill, welcome. I use the Ernie Ball strap locks and find them to be reliable. If you're look at a second guitar always try and play it or purchase from a reputable dealer, that goes for any brand. If you're getting one brand new you'll be fine.

See another Fender player that has been pulled over to EB, I think if GC puts the Balls right next to the Fenders sales will double lol.

The only way that will happen is if Fender goes behind the counter with the Music Mans :)

I'm definately a fan of Ernie Ball strap locks. I have them on my Albert Lee now. I did have a couple times with my Axis Super Sport where I was putting the guitar on to do a set and the strap was twisted at the bottom and pulled itself off the strap post! Fortunately it was while I had a firm grip of the thing and the only thing to fall was the strap itself.

The EB strap locks are really nice as they are easy to put a strap on and take off if you don't want the strap in the case with the guitar (I don't).
