Hi all, Ive been lurking around here for ages and finally bit the bullet and bought a quilt top Axis. It should be here sometime this week. After reading all your posts about the quallity of these guitars, I figured it was time to jump. Its got the tiniest nick on the headstock which shoud be an easy fix.

Hey Be-AR!

Welcome aboard! That's a fine looking Axis, treat her well. I see that an oldie because of the G+G case she's in and the routed neck plate. Trans-Blue is a killer color and you will not be disappointed with the Axis tone, feel and playability. You will buy another EBMM in the future because you will become addicted like the rest of us.

Nope, EBMM uses custom SKB cases now. I guess plastic is the wave of the future.

They did use a classic brown case for the Buttercream Ltd. Ed., but I'm not sure if it was a G&G. I'll have to take a look.

This one also has the recessed neck plate. From what I read that makes this an older model too. Just checked with UPS website tracking........Shes made it here in Australia!!!!!!!! Shouldnt be more than a couple of days.

EVH fan??

Seriously, I also have a couple of Wolfs, but the EB EVH/Axis definitely has a different feel. The neck profile is the biggest difference (I prefer the EB necks) & the pickups are a little cleaner & punchier on the EBs.

Bottom line, if you like the Wolfgang guitars, you're going to love the Axis :)
