New here and to Sterling guitars

Hello all,

Just received my first Sterling guitar. It's a JP50 and I instantly loved it. It fit my hands and playing stly betterthan any guitar I have ever had! I have a strat too but I feel I may never play it now.lol


I got a great deal on it used and snagged it right up. It arrived yesterday, I tuned it and played it right away. I have never had locking tunners like the ones on the JP50 before so I accidently let the G string get too loose when I was tuning it and it popped right out. But lesson learned;.


It's a great instrument and I don't even think I will modify it any. I may get a red one in the future but UI think this is THE guitar for me. Other thing sI have owned are ESP's, Charvel's, Fenders, Peaveys, Yamaha, and was going to get an Ibanez Prestige. But I read the reviews and this is the one I picked and I am glad I did.


Any tips on working with these guitars?

I guess I don't understand the question. You indicated you don't want to modify it, so what do you mean by 'working with' the guitars? If it's just playing, plug it in and start shredding.

i've not seen any review saying anything close to being a bad guitar... they are a great investment and a great guitar...

Yeah, all the Sterlings I have played so far have been a great! I don't think I have seen a negative comment yet. Pat and his team have done an amazing job... can't wait to see what is next!
