Hi there

I've been lurking around here for a while now but have never felt i had reason to join in any discussions until now.

Last week I bought a new LE2006 Axis and I'm completely blown away. Every other guitar I have ever owned pales in comparison. When I bought it (at Machinehead Music in Hitchin, UK - the guys there were great, couldnt do enough for me and had the best EBMM stock I've seen in the UK), I tested it against a fair few other brands, and even a few other musicman models (which were great too) but it just felt miles better than any other guitar in the shop. The neck is absolutely flawless and so comfortable!!! :D

My dad is an ardent Gibson fan and had been trying to convince me to go in the Les Paul direction. He tried my guitar and 2 hours later when i finally got it off him he was so impressed he's eyeing up a 20th anniversary sillhouette now.

I've been poking around long enough to know that without pics it doesnt exist and that i need to add my serial number in the sticky thread but if you guys have any maintainance tips or forum advice etc i'd appreciate it! I'll post some pictures soon.

Cheers

Dan

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Rob, I've already started looking for my next EBMM purchase! I'll be sticking around the forum too as I've never seen such a cool net community (the frequent visits from guys like sterling, john petrucci and steve lukather are awesome!!!) and I don't think ive seen as loyal a fan base as the one EBMM has.

Anyways heres the links for the pics, they arent great but its a start:

I also was a "Brand X" kind of guy until my #1 son turned me on to the JP. I played one off and on for awhile, bought one, and have never looked back.

And, while this forum is great, and the EBMM customer service is top notch, it still boils down to this: they make quality gear. PERIOD.

Welcome to the forum!

Satch, What you don't know about that guitar is that those tremolos are made of REAL GOLD!!!

Does EBMM rule or what?

Lol thanks for the comments guys. A nice quilt top would have been lovely, they did have an awesome honeyburst Axis SS with an amazing top, but it was hardtail and I need trems! That will be my next ball perhaps!

Slightly OT: I was at the Reading festival last week and didn't spot a single player with a Musicman (although I think someone was playing a stingray). How don't enough people know about these amazing instruments!?!

Nice choice of guitars - as you can see from my sig I have a 2006 LE too.

Stick around and ask as many questions as you need to.

Diolch yn fawr Spud! Nice to see the Welsh are represented here! Did you find any of your AL's in Wales? I've seen only a handful of EBMM guitars in Cardiff. I think I did see an AL in Cranes music shop a while back, not one of yours is it? I had to travel to Hitchin to buy my first and as great as the shop was I'd like to sample some more EB guitars without having to go anywhere near the M25 again!
