Hey guys,
Just wanted to say hey as I am new to the board and wanted to say hey!. I've played Ernie Balls and Wolfgangs since Ed went with Ernie Ball. I have since sold a couple of EBMM and have let some go and now playing wolfgangs. I know...Why on the board playing Peaveys. Well, to be honest, I bought an OLP double neck and forgot how good these type necks felt. I've been playing wolfgangs for 14 yrs. I have a purple quilt(1st yr) and a very nice Red Flame (very nice birdseye neck also) , but when I got my doubleneck, it played , well awesome. The pickups reminded me alot of the wolfgangs and the sound was great through my Boogie and 5150. Now, this is my opinion on the guitar, the doubleneck sounded just great, very big sounding. I paid 300.00 dollars and I'm enjoying it well. The tuners I might replace for some locking ones, but other than that, I'm very satisfied with it.
Well, since I quit playing EB's back when the wolfgang came out, I went by Guitar Center and saw one of the AX40s and well, had to play it. Man, was I surprised at this guitar. It felt great, sounded great, and I purchased it. For $500.00 , this guitar is going to be hard to beat for the money. So in other words, I'm sort of back to Ernie Balls. Now, I know it is not an Axis or an Eddie Music Man, but man , for the money. :pDarn! Anyway.
I play 5150 in Stereo with a Strategy boogie power amp. sounds great. Here is a my original band with the sound: The Official Home of BlackBook Romance
you'll have to go to the myspace page to check out, but if you don't , here it is on youtube:[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OboYk7WRRc"]YouTube- Open up[/ame]
By the way, the bass sound is an ol' Rogue 5 string bass. Traded a couple of mufflers for it. The sound turned out nice.(I thought) Anyway. you guys take it easy and here is a couple of pics of the Guitars, thanks and have a good one, Hope I enjoy the site!

Thanks
Marc

P.S. Just thought I's say that we are a two guitar band also. The other guitar player used Rectifier and I used the 5150-boogie rig. The one using Ibanez is not me of course(Ibanez) I like Ibanezs , but not for me. Only EBMM or wolfgangs!

I just wanted to say also, I'll post more pics of the AX40 Soon. I'm doing some d-tuna and setup stuff right now. So , again, sorry for the wolfgang shots, but if it was not for the EBMMs , there would have never been any wolfgangs. Anyway. Have a good one.

P.S. I play Ernie Ball strings also.(if that counts) Jjokin

Hey Marc- welcome to the forums man. Can you do me a favour and remove the Wolfgang pictures, though? This is the EBMM site, so it's generally frowned upon to use their bandwidth on the other company's guitars ... thanks.
