I am a huge Mark Tremonti fan, and I absolutely love that!

Half way through the video, I thought, very Mark Tremonti, then I read your text above!

His tunings always bring out something different.

I'm off to find that book and CD.

...anyone know how to post the video so it shows here on the chat?.............

I paste the YouTube address of a video itself into the reply window, but put underline tags either side ( [ U ]....... [ /U ] ) to emphasise it is a link, otherwise it just looks like text on the current forum setup.

I've pasted your YouTube link below using that method:

Jamie, You are obviously a Blackstar fan (haha). I've been messing about with the HT Soloist 60. I'm looking on picking up the full line for my store. But I'm not blown away by the 60. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the amp. Just want to branch out to others. Any other models you recommend trying?

Hi Robert,

I use Blackstar and do some demo work for them in the UK. I'm not answering on behalf of Jamie although I know he has used the original HT5 a lot and the Series One 200 head and did a very nice clinic in Manchester a while ago.

I use the Artisan 30 Head which is the hand wired series, the amp sounds awesome, I use a patch lead to blend its 2 channels together and get a really warm fat clean sound, but has enough highs in it to let you do your country licks and you can hear all the notes ring really clearly.

This isn't a high gain head so when really wound up it breaks up into a nice crunch, I get my overdrive/distortion from the Blackstar HT-Duel pedal which gives me a cool crunchy blues tone and a really fat high gain sound, again with great definition.

Hope this of some use, I'm sure Jamie will post his comments shortly.

Jamie, what is the difference between the HT5 and the HT5R, is it just the addition of the reverb? I love my HT5-S but really wish it had on board reverb.

Seriously considering swapping my Hod Rod Deluxe for a HT40!

Hi Phrat

Sorry to jump in on Jamie here but you are right it is just a reverb function that is different.
I purchased an HT40 last August after owning an HT5. The 40 is amazing the tonal options are brilliant and it sound fantastic plus you have Reverb with light and dark settings. I would seriously try one mate

Jamie, that is another awesome demo of what that little thing can do. You always make em sound so damn good haha. You are really the one that made me get a Blackstar. I went for the HT20 head for the reverb and a little more power for some more headroom for the clean channel. I'm really loving the amp...very versatile and really cant beat it at that price point!

Nice video !
The last videos of Jamie made me buy a HT-5H ... I am very happy with it. So many sound options ... in fact too many, I spend too much time messing with the knobs !
