I read on this forum that the hardtails were F-spaced, so that's what I ordered. Hope that's right :)

The set I got came with short legs, I didn't have to specify. I'm just gonna start with the bridge as I dig the neck pup in the Axis. But I might try the set eventually as I really like the sound with both pups on my LP. The F-spaced pups are backordered at GC's website, supposed to ship next week, I'll post when I get it in.

EBMM should really consider these as an option on the new AL HH's, as these sound great with mahogany.

Man I'm in that same situation I love the neck pickup, but I'm wanting something a little less high output and something that is gonna have a more vintage feel to it which I liked the Virtual PAF and this is supposed to be even better so I'm gonna go for it... I will probably just order short legs and if isn't quite right then I'll send it back for the longer ones... Keep me posted because I'm sure it will take quite a while long if it you orders your a while back and their just about to ship...

I posted this over at the LP forum but wanted to provide an update here. I recently dropped a set of the 36th's in my 2001 Gary Moore LP and love them. I wired them '50s-style using the stock pots.

I played two gigs this weekend, one through a Line 6 X3 Live direct into the PA (mainly through a Matchless DC-30 model) in a large (500+) house, and the other through a friend's '60s Vox Cambridge (single 10" version) in a small blues bar setting.

The clarity and punch is amazing, they are very responsive, and clean up nice. The neck pup is especially interesting, has multi-layered complexity I am really digging. I got the bridge-wound version also, it is actually on medium-hot side, and has an almost P90-ish spank to it.

The 36ths *really* drove the Vox nicely, I wanted to buy the Vox on the spot!

My F-spaced bridge 36th is still on backorder - I can't wait to try it in my Rosy Axis SS. I think these will stake a nice middle ground between the EVH pups and a P90 Axis, you get a little of both.

The neck 36th compares favorably to the EVH neck but with a little more clarity, but the bridge leans more towards a P90 or hot Tele bridge in terms of spank factor. If you've ever heard a real PAF that had an almost single-coil clarity, these get you in that neighborhood, but with a bit more bass and highs and without the honk.

Ditto, dude! This here's the guy that turned me on to the Axis while watching my Zakk Wylde lick library DVD. After seeing him navigate that tiny neck with his spiderleg-long digits, I knew I could adapt-sure glad I did. I think his LL videos is some of the best EBMM advertising out there. Jamie rocks that little Blackstar head, too, wish I hadn't sold mine.
